“I see every client as uniquely faceted — a gem in their own right. My goal is to walk alongside you in a space where you feel safe to grow, celebrated for who you are, and empowered to meet life on your own terms.”

About Dana…

Dana sees each client as uniquely faceted — one of a kind. She's drawn to people who are finding their footing and willing to put in some elbow grease to make change happen, at whatever pace feels right. Laughter and the occasional inside joke are always welcome in her office.

Dana specializes in life transitions, identity, and self-expression. She works with clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma (PTSD and complex), grief and loss, relationship challenges, self-esteem, career transitions, neurodivergent concerns, addictions and substance use, eating behaviors, body image, gender identity and dysphoria, sexuality and intimacy, and LGBTQ+ affirming care.

Her approach is eclectic and intentionally adaptive. Grounded in person-centered, holistic, and trauma-informed care, she draws from CBT, ACT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Expressive Arts, and Emotional Freedom Techniques. She understands that some sessions feel like growing pains — and she works to create a space where that growth can happen safely.

Consent and empowerment are always the baseline. Dana celebrates who you are, cheers you on, and occasionally offers a gentle nudge when a fresh perspective might open a door.

Away from the office, she's reclaiming some long-overdue free time — out on her motorcycle, reading for pleasure, or sitting around a campfire with a well-earned s'more.

If you're ready to take that first step, Dana would be honored to walk alongside you — reach out today to schedule a free consultation at Sandstone Counseling in Green, Ohio, serving the greater Akron and Summit County area.
