Vicki Shane

“What I love most is helping people see the strength and courage they don't yet recognize in themselves.”

Vicki has a gift for sitting with people in the moments when life feels uncertain. She works with clients who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of what comes next, and she sees it as her role to help them recognize the strength and courage they may not yet see in themselves.

At Sandstone Counseling in Green, OH, Vicki works with adults, adolescents, and children who are navigating anxiety, depression, grief, and the life transitions that come with different seasons of life. Her style is primarily person-centered, which means she follows each client's lead and meets them where they are. She also brings in practical, skills-based strategies that help clients notice patterns in their thoughts and feelings, stay present, and respond to stress in new ways. Sessions tend to balance reflection with concrete tools, so clients spend time both understanding what they're experiencing and building real strategies for managing anxiety, stress, and change while staying connected to what matters most to them. Vicki works to create a space that is warm, trauma-informed, and genuinely collaborative, where clients feel safe being honest and supported in making meaningful changes.

Before counseling, Vicki owned and ran a small business, where leading a team and supporting people through high-stress situations taught her to show up with steadiness and real care when life feels overwhelming.

Vicki is currently supervised by Angela Rodgers, LPCC-S, NCC.

A Note About Vicki Shane:

Vicki is joining us soon to complete her internship, and I'm genuinely excited about what she'll bring to Sandstone. She has a natural steadiness and warmth that puts people at ease, along with a real curiosity about the work and a strong foundation to build on. Her background in leading a small business gives her a grounded, practical sense of how to support people through stress and change, and that experience shows in how she connects. I'm looking forward to watching her grow as a clinician and to welcoming her as a permanent member of our clinical team once her internship is complete. If you're looking for a steady, supportive presence as you sort through your own story, Vicki would be glad to walk alongside you.
