Mackenzie Pollock
“Meaningful change happens within genuine connection.”
Mackenzie Pollock believes that meaningful change happens inside a genuine connection. For anyone who has felt uncertain about reaching out for help, she offers a warm, steady presence and a partnership where the client sets the direction. She sees therapy as collaborative work and meets each person as a whole individual with their own story to tell.
Before joining Sandstone Counseling, Mackenzie spent more than two years in crisis intervention with the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, supporting people through some of the hardest moments of their lives. That experience gives her a grounded, compassionate presence with clients who are carrying real stress or working through a hard season of life.
She draws from person-centered, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and acceptance-based approaches such as acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). In plain terms, she starts with the client's own values and goals, then helps them build practical tools to get there, at a pace that feels safe. Her work is rooted in trauma-informed care, and she creates a space where clients feel heard and genuinely supported as they move toward the life they want.
Mackenzie is completing her Master's degree this August and is here to stay. Sandstone is glad to share that she has accepted a full-time position and will continue caring for her clients as a Licensed Professional Counselor once she graduates, so the relationships she builds now will carry right through.
Mackenzie is currently supervised by Angela Rodgers, LPCC-S, NCC.
A Note About Mackenzie Pollock:
Mackenzie is currently completing her internship and has already made a meaningful impact on our team. She brings warmth, positivity, and a strong foundation of knowledge to her work with clients. Her ability to create a welcoming environment, combined with her eagerness to learn and develop as a clinician, makes her a promising future counselor. We look forward to welcoming Mackenzie as a permanent member of our clinical team upon completion of her internship.
